Anti-TB and Heart Health Instagram Contest

Brief and Guidelines

Objectives

To enhance public awareness of the risk factors and prevention of tuberculosis and heart diseases.

 

Eligibility and Requirements

Members of the public are welcome to take part in the Contest.

 

Theme

Entrants shall make reference to the videos published by the Association on YouTube  (in Cantonese), as listed below. Entries shall be based on one of the video themes.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged by Dr. Liu Shao Haei, Chairman, Health Promotion Committee, Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association, Ms. Helen Lee, Dietitian in Charge, Dietetic Department, Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals, and Ms. Chan Yuen Ha, Senior Nursing officer, Tuberculosis & Chest Service, Department of Health on thematic expression[40%], graphical design [40%], creativity [15%] as well as popularity (number of Likes) [5%] by a Panel of Adjudication consisted of 3 professionals .

 

Awards

There will be 2 Excellence, 4 Merit and 4 Consolation Awards.

Excellence Award: $500 cash voucher

Merit Award: $200 cash voucher

Consolation Award: $50 cash voucher

 

Format of Entries and Conditions of Entry

  1. All entrants shall use Instagram to take part in the Contest, and follow the official account of the Association on Instagram (@hktba_hpc). Entrants who do not follow, or unfollow the official Instagram account of the Association before the deadline of submissions shall be assumed to have forfeited the right to participation in the Contest.

  2. Each entrant shall use only one Instagram account, which is set as a Public Account, and submit only one entry to the Contest.

  3. An entry shall be uploaded to Instagram as a Post. Any other format of upload, including but not limited to Story, Instagram Live and IGTV, will not be accepted.

  4. Once submitted, an entry shall not be modified or replaced.

  5. An entrant will not be awarded more than one prize out of the Excellence, the Merit and the Consolation Awards.

  6. The decision by the Panel of Adjudication shall be final. In case of any dispute, the Association’s decision is final.

  7. An entry shall consist of two components – a photo and a caption. The caption shall contain the following –

    • the chosen theme,

    • anti-tuberculosis/heart health tip(s) written in Chinese or English (50 – 100 words),

    • a mention of the official Instagram account of the Association (@hktba_hpc),

    • a hashtag of the Contest #hktbachallenge, and

    • tags of 3 friends.

 

Submission of Entries

All entrants shall share the entries, i.e. the Instagram posts, with the official Instagram account of the Association by using Instagram Direct Message function. The following information shall be submitted together with the Instagram posts –

  • Full name of the entrant (as shown on HKID card)

  • Contact number

  • Contact email

Failure to do any of the above will result in disqualification.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All entries submitted must be original, and should have neither been openly shown or published in any form or through any channel, nor have the entries been submitted for other competitions.

  2. The Association shall have no liability for any entry containing plagiarism or copy content, encouraging violence, containing any profane language, indecent contents or malicious comments. Such entry shall be disqualified without prior notice.

  3. Any opinion, finding, conclusion or recommendation expressed in any of the entries (or by entrants of the Contest) do not reflect the official views of the Association. The Association shall have no liability.

  4. Any content related to this Contest is not intended as a substitute for medical professional help or advice. Individuals should consult their own doctors/qualified healthcare service providers for any matter concerning health condition that they may have.

  5. The list of winners will be announced on the official Instagram page of the Association on March 24, 2022 (Thursday), and each winner will be notified by Instagram Direct Message. Each winner shall provide their Instagram account name and the name as shown on their HKID card to the Association by email at designated period for identity verification during prize redemption.

  6. Prizes will be sent to the winners as Surface Ordinary Letter/Packet to the mailing address provided by the winner, and the risk of postage shall be borne by the receiver. The Association shall not compensate for any loss or damage. Alternatively, winners can redeem the prize in person at the designated time and location, and must present a printout of email notification for identity verification. Failure to do so will result in disqualification to prize redemption.

  7. The winner who cannot redeem the prize at such designated time will be deemed as forfeiture of the prize and the Association reserves the right to handle the prize at its sole discretion.

  8. If any winner has provided any incomplete, incorrect and false personal information causing the Association unable to contact the winner or verify their identity, their qualification to the prize will be cancelled and no replacement of this winner will be considered.

  9. The prizes given in the Contest are not redeemable for cash, or returnable, exchangeable or amendable for any changes, nor transferrable or resalable to any other person. No return or change will be made for any redeemed prize.

  10. By participating in this Contest, it shall be deemed that the entrants have read carefully, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Association reserves its right to revise the details, mechanism and rules of the Association as well as these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. In the event of dispute, the decision of the Association shall be final.

  11. Personal information collected will be used for this Contest only, and processed according to our privacy policy.

  12. By way of entering the Contest, entrants understand and agree that the Association has the right to report, use and publish any content regarding this Program including the gift winner’s name, activity highlights, photos, video clips and any other related information, without prior consent of the entrants and/or paying any payment or compensation to the entrants. The copyright of the said photos and video clips belongs to the Association.

  13. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. Instagram will not bear any responsibility for any action of the entrants. Entrants shall agree to make a complete release of Instagram from any claim related to this Contest.

  14. All record regarding the Contest (including but not limited to submission time) shall be determined according to our computer server and record. In the event of dispute, the decision of the Association shall be final.

  15. If any data submitted by the entrants or winning notification is lost, inaccurate, un-differentiable or damaged caused by any computer, network, telephone or technical issue which is not attributed to the default of the Association, the Association shall not have any liability and the entrants cannot object.

  16. For the costs of the mobile data usage arising from the Contest, the Association shall not have any liability.

  17. Employees and family members of the Association are not eligible to participate in this Contest.

  18. In case of any inconsistency between English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
