Healthy Workplace

 
Working Posture and Rest
Computer Screen
  • A computer screen should be placed at a proper distance: 350-600mm between the screen and the operator.
  • The computer screen should be placed below eye level 10o-15o and the top of the screen should not be above the eye level.
  • To avoid neck discomfort and eye strain.
Key Board and Mouse
  • The level of the keyboard should match the work - ideal level : 10o or below such that the shoulders and the arms can adopt a natural and comfortable posture at work.
  • Mouse should be within arm's length.
Sitting Posture
  • Keep spine and head upright and sit well back into the chair for most of the time, with foot support when necessary.
  • Avoid static posture and change at suitable interval.
Rest and Stretching Exercise
  • Have short physical breaks and away from the workstations
